Caithness Glass Blue Swirl Art Glass Bud Vase

Description

This stunning art glass vase is a product of Caithness Glass, a glass factory established in northern Scotland in 1961.  This glass maker initially produced colored vases and bowls in contemporary Scandinavian styles.  In 1969 the factory started making its famous paperweights.  This bud vase measures approximately 7 ¼” in height with a 2 ¼” opening.  It features a diagonally-ribbed clear vase with pretty blue and white swirls that spiral upwards.  The base of this vase is weighted and displays the “Caithness” white engraved logo.  Also affixed to the vase is the original sticker that reads, “Caithness – Handmade Crystal Glass”.  There is a tiny nick, near the rim of the vase, only detected by very close scrutiny and there are a few dirty areas inside the vase that should disappear after a good cleaning.  Otherwise there are no chips, cracks or any other evidence of damage.  This is a beautiful Caithness vase that simply sparkles.
